You're missing out on a better life if you don't do this
And I’m sorry I didn’t learn this sooner

My dad recently did some landscaping. The place looks unrecognizable. I forgot how nice the yard could look, and how much more you could see with things out of the way.
Life is like that.
It’s easy to forget how much good we have in our lives because we let anxiety, pride, discontent and a host of other things get in the way. You’re in the way.
Cleaning up, stepping back. Those things that allow you to see clearly.
Your life could be better if you take the garbage out
Make a list of the tools you need, get them, and get to work. Take the garbage out:
The anxiety that has taken root and grown so high you can’t see the beautiful sunsets anymore.
The pride that has littered all over the ground so you can’t see how beautiful the surroundings are.
The discontent that has scuffed the mirror so you can’t see how beautiful you are anymore.
I know I talk about becoming better, constantly, it’s the whole point of “Up From Here”. But, I don’t agree with being obsessed with seeing yourself as so horrible that you dig a big, deep hole that you can’t crawl out of.
That’s what pride has to do with it, if you were wondering.
If you’re so obsessed with yourself: how good you are, how bad you are, how much you want – it’s pride.
Get obsessed with something else for crying out loud. With someone else's needs, wants, desires.
There are many people out there who need your help, and the more time you spend whining and wallowing in self pity, the less time you have to spend helping them.
